解 説

体長2.5-3 mm。体は褐色から黒褐色で，腹部は黒色味が強い。大あごに６歯をもつ。触角柄節はやや長く，その長さの３割程度が頭部後縁を越える．柄節は立毛を多数もつ。前・中胸背板に６対以上の剛毛がある。前伸腹節に立毛はない。後脚のみ腿節と脛節に剛毛をもつ。
裸地や草地などの乾いた環境に多い。日本と台湾に生息し，小笠原諸島や南西諸島では普通に見られる。近年，鹿児島市や広島市からも公園や市街地の植え込み等に営巣しているものが採集されている。東京都では，おそらくどこからか植物とともに持ち込まれてきた本種が水族館内に生息していた例がある。
