解 説

|
体長2 mm強。体色は赤褐色。ダルマアリによく似るが，前種よりやや大型。複眼が大きく，顕著に突出し，触角は9節。胸部はより縮まっていて高い。腹部背面などの点刻はより深く明瞭で，各点刻の間はより離れている。
照葉樹林の林床に生息する。沖縄本島からのみ採集されている。かってのD. sp. 2に相当する（日本蟻類研究会 ,1988）。
