Pronotal humeri each with a spine. Mesonotum with a pair of spines. Lateral margin of propodeum carinate; propodeal spines long with the tip rounded. Petiole with a pair of long anchor-shaped spines.

This subgenus containes Polyrhachis lamellidens in Japan.
