Description
|
|
Species in the subgenus Lasius are brown to blackish brown in workers. Maxillary palpi are long, reaching the neck.
|
Remarks
|
|
These ants are active on the ground. Some species are not easily separated using worker external morphology.
Five species are included in this subgenus as follows: L. alienus, L. hayashi, L. japonicus, L. productus, L. sakagamii.
