Description
|
|
A relatively small Aenictus species: total body length about 2 - 2.5 mm. Color yellowish brown; head, gaster and legs yellow. Mandibles subtriangular, with 7 teeth. Antennae 10 segmented. Promesonotal dorsum weakly convex in profile; posterodorsal corner of propodeum angulate; propodeal sides without rugae. Subpetiolar process low, forming a small lobe.

Remarks
|
|
Found in evergreen broad-leaved forests and their margins. A. lifuiae nests in soil and is rare. Known in Japan only from Iriomote Island. A male from Taiwan was collected during August.
