Remarks
|
|
Anochetus is a relatively large genus, comprising about 90 described species world wide. It is distributed from the tropics to warm temperate regions of the globe, and distinguished from the phylogenetically most closely related genus, Odontomachus Latreille, by the absence of a median apophysial line on the posterior dorsum of the head. One species, Anochetus shohki Terayama, is distributed in Japan.
